HolidayGiftGuideForthePunkKids

Hellooooo!  There are just THIRTEEN days left until Christmas!  *gulp*  This is Day 4 of our Holiday Gift Guide and today the focus is on the punk kids in your life!

I split these gifts up into 3 categories: Babies (Birth to Age 2ish), Little ones (Ages 3-5ish) and Big Kids (6 to 11ish!) In my personal opinion, this is the easier group to shop for, because stores are packed to the brim with toys around Christmas time.  But in case you are overwhelmed, here is a guide to make your life easier!  Let’s get started with the Babies first!

BabyBee1. VTech Touch and Learn Musical Bee – $30

This little bee learning toy teaches basic numbers, shapes and colors.  Babies can shake the bee to hear music and fun sounds.  It also has lullabies and nature sounds for bedtime.  It’s one of the top-selling baby gifts this year so you really can’t go wrong!

BabyPopper2. Fisher Price Poppity Pop Musical Dinosaur – $30

Both of my kids have had toys like this and both loved it!  Kiddos place balls in the dino and watch them pop up and roll away.  It also plays music, which my kids would always wiggle and dance to.  So precious.

BabyOwltoy3. Hide and Hug Owl Activity Toy – $17

This precious owl toy is perfect for babies 3 months and up.  It squeaks, rattles and crinkles, and if you’ve ever tried to eat something with a wrapper in front of a baby, you know how much they love those noises!

BabyStackingCups4. Brilliant Basics Stack & Roll Cups – $10

I love learning disguised as play and this is the perfect toy for that!  The stacking is good for motor skills and the different colors and numbers are perfect for building early identification skills.

For the little ones:

PSKitchen1. Little Tikes Super Chef Kitchen – $60

The preschool years are all about using imagination and pretend play.  A play kitchen is the best for pretend play!  Little ones can play for hours!  Just be prepared to take 50 bazillion pretend bites and drinks.

PSPlayDoh2. PlayDoh Sweet Shoppe set – $14

What kid doesn’t love PlayDoh??  This set is super cute!  I especially recommend this one if, you know…the PlayDoh isn’t going to be in your own personal house.  Just saying.

PSBalanceBike3. Balance Bike – $70

This bike is designed for kids 2 years and up and teaches balance and gross motor skills!  These bikes have no pedals so kids push them along with their feet.  Once they get a little braver, they can lift their feet off the ground and coast, learning how to balance the bike.

PSAquadoodle4. AquaDoodle Draw and Doodle Mat – $20

This is a classic toy for a reason!  Kids love it because it lets their imagination run wild and parents love it because there’s no mess or clean up!

For the big kids…

BKRainbowLoom1. Rainbow Loom – $18

The Rainbow Loom is used to make those super popular rubber band bracelets.  They can actually make all kinds of things, including key chains.  It’s basically the new friendship bracelet and the big kids love them!

BGDisInf2. Disney Infinity Starter Pack – $75

I should preface this one with a warning — this is a super popular video game right now and may be difficult to find in stores!  In Disney Infinity, kids have the freedom and endless opportunity to create stories and play experiences starring their favorite Disney and Pixar characters.  It is a really fun game for both boys and girls!  If the Big Kid in your life already has the starter pack, there’s lots of option for action figures to add on to the game!

BigKidsZCurve3. Zing Air Hunterz Z-Curve Bow – $20

This is a foam bow and arrow set from Zing.  This is one of those toys punk kids of the boy category seem to really love.  They also sell a target!

BigKids1D4. One Direction: This Is Us – $20

This one is only available for pre-order right now and is released on December 17th!  This Is Us follows the lives of the five members of the boy band, One Direction. It contains live concert footage from London’s O2 Arena, and footage from their lives pre- and post-X Factor appearance, and gives insight into the preparation for their concerts and ultimately what it is like to be One Direction!  I can pretty much guarantee you, if you have a girly girl between the ages of oh, 8 and 15 in your life, she will love this!
